How to choose software for a taekwondo academy.
Gym software handles fees and timetables well, but a taekwondo academy also needs its geup, poom and dan scale, kids groups and grading sessions. Ask any software to show you all that with your academy’s data before you decide.

Frequently asked questions about software for taekwondo
Does it work for WT (Kukkiwon) and ITF taekwondo?
Yes. You set up the scale your academy follows —World Taekwondo’s or the ITF’s— with its geup, colours and dan. If you teach both systems, you can set up a separate scale for each.
Can I record the poom of students under 15?
Yes. You record the poom as the junior black belt and, when the student comes of age, you note their dan on the same profile, with their full history.
How many geup can I set up?
As many as your academy uses. The usual is ten, from 10th to 1st geup, with the colours and intermediate belts you decide.
Can I separate poomsae and sparring classes?
Yes. You create poomsae (or tul), kyorugi and technique classes, each with its timetable and instructor, and take attendance in each one. Attendance can be checked by class or by student.
How do I organise belt gradings?
With grading sessions: you review the candidates’ attendance and history, record the result and the new belt goes onto the profile.
Does it work for academies with lots of young students?
Yes. You create groups by age and level, keep the families’ contacts on each child’s profile and pay the same however many students you have.
Can students check their belt from their phone?
Yes. In the student portal they book classes and check attendance, belt progression and the ranking. With the youngest, agree with the family how the access will be used.
How much does the software cost for a taekwondo academy?

Can I start with the students I have in Excel?
